Guest Reviews and Feedback

Watermark on Moso is amazing!! It is literally right on the water and there is great snorkelling right there. We had an amazing stay here and will hopefully get back again one day. Kalo our host took us on a great boat trip through to a cave and the underwater reefs there were incredible. This place is way beyond what we had imagined. Thank you to Ginny from 16* also. Our stay was incredible.

'Our 10 day stay at Moso was an experience like no other, hosts Kalo and Julie welcomed us into their family ensuring that we got the most out of our experience on the island. The house was amazing, being able to step straight into paradise. Despite the beauty of the house, nothing was better than going into the village to be fed more than we could handle, play football with the kids, and chat with the locals. Kalo’s island tour is a must do, showcasing all that the island has to offer, both above and underwater. Watermark is run exceptionally well with a big thanks to Jinny from 16 Degrees for looking after everything for us :)

Water on your doorstep with great snorkeling and tranquil views. 16 South organised for our host Kalo to meet us at our previous Airbnb and brought us across to Moso where we were greeted with a flower each. The island is amazing we were welcomed into the local village for food. Whilst we stayed Kalo also provided us a tour around the island where we saw turtles, dugong, the survivor beach and snorkeled on some great reefs. All round great stay for those looking for a quiet place to relax, read a book, enjoy the sun and have a genuine look and local Vanuatu life.

'It’s pretty hard to describe the magic of Watermark. I have never stayed so close to the ocean before and received such a warm welcome from the house’s host Kalo. Do not hesitate to stay here, it is truly a one of a kind experience! P. S - The hosts organised locally cooked meals for a few nights - recommend doing this for your first night!

What a wonderful place to celebrate Christmas! We spent three beautiful days at Watermark welcomed and looked after by the generous Kalo and Julie, and their family. We had a lovely sailing around the beautiful island on the 24th of December with Kalo, saw some turtles and wen't caving and snorkeling. We visited the villages on Christmas day and Kalos and Julies families. Thank you so much for sharing Christmas with us - and the beautiful house and space. It will always be remembered!

'Watermark on Moso island was an absolute highlight for our trip. Kalo and Julie greeted us with warmth and welcomed us onto the island with magical hospitality (and took care of our every need). The house was clean and a delight to be in. What a view! Our toes basically dangled in the water. Definitely take Kalos tour around moso island - so amazing much wildlife, snorkeling and nature! Jinny from 16 degrees also helped us out a lot when we got stuck after our stay at watermark, extending her service beyond our booking. Cannot recommend the watermark and 16 degrees more highly! Thanks from Dani and Mark.'

Go. Check it out. Have a long lunch at the Moso. Walk over to the other side of the island for a snorkel. Kalo does great day tours. He is very knowledgeable about indigenous traditions and customs, was very patient with us and we have madVictoriae some lifelong memories. This place is paradise.

STOP DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER!!! This place is amazing!!! Thanks Jinny for making contact with is before we got there and put us at ease. We meet Kalo at the 16 degree office who help to guide us to the island and what we needed. Julie and the family met us at the house and made us feel so welcomed. Beautiful modern home with everything we needed and more. Moso is amazing and go on the day trip around the island with Kalo you won't regret it. Ask about the fresh bread too There is so much to say but I will sum it up with MOSO IS OUR NEW HOME.

We write to you with sincere heart felt thanks for the most wonderful stay at the Watermark. From the moment we enquired we have only felt professionalism and care from everyone involved in the operation.

The Watermark itself is stunning, the finishes are exceptional and professional, and the place was spotlessly clean. Kalo, Julie and family as you know are just darlings and couldn't do enough for us! We really didn't want to leave!

We would like to enquire for our first wedding anniversary if possible for 2 nights again and stay the whole last day as we did this time.

Really wonderful experience, hope to see you soon!

The authentic Moso Island Experience For adventurers seeking a back to nature authentic island experience with a genuine connection to the village people, this is the place you need to come.

We were welcomed with open arms by Kalo, Julie and their family. As a couple travelling with our 10-year-old daughter, we decided that our Vanuatu experience was to be an immersion with the people of Moso.

A peaceful and tranquil setting on the water’s edge with snorkeling and kayaking access at your front door. A forty-minute walk across the island to the local Moso Resort private beach with outstanding snorkeling in shallow waters, easy for beginners. Make sure you take the full day boat tour with Kalo around the island where he will share with you some of his secret hidden gems and stories, we even saw a giant turtle and dugong. Futhermore, Kalo will also take you to some of the mainland resorts like Havannah, Francesca’s or Wahoo bar for a fabulous sunset experience.

The villa is equipped with everything you need for a back to nature luxury basics holiday. Generous servings of honest and hearty village food prepared by Julie upon request and definitely made with love. Undoubtedly the highlight of our visit was the genuine connection we made with Kalo and his extended village family in Tassiriki which is about a ten-minute walk from the villa. With invitations to join them for a Pentecostal Sunday mass and a trip to the local school, they are beautiful island people with generous hearts of joy.

If you are like us and not attracted to the westernized resort but still want a lovely holiday that’s not a backpacker experience this is the authentic middle mark. Beautiful Jinny from 16 Degrees South will provide you will all the details you need as their agent.

We had a lovely but short holiday at the waterfront moso. Kalo and his family were lovely. They cooked a lovely meal for us the first night and we all had dinner together the following night. Kalo took us out for the day in his boat which was a highlight- lovely beaches and amazing caves. We would secondarily recommend staying here

The Watermark is a truly inspiring place to stay a few days. It's perched by the waterside and has thoughtful facilities to keep you happy while exploring the wider area. You'll be well looked after by Kalo and Julie, the local caretakers and Pastor who live in a nearby village - we enjoyed a meal they prepared while learning insights about the island and its people. Our late evening arrival by boat was under an amazing night sky while the days were filled with snorkelling from the front door, walks around the island and reading in the relaxed haven that is, the Watermark.
